Abdul Latif Jameel Machinery is playing a vital role in the construction and development of one of the World’s most ambitious new mega-developments. NEOM is described as a vision of what a new future may look like; the estimated US$ 500 billion regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea being built from the ground up as a living laboratory, and a place where entrepreneurship will chart the course for this new future.
The team at Abdul Latif Jameel Machinery secured a new contract with key groundworks contractor, Al Asast Al Watanya Co., which sees the provision of an initial seven Komatsu D275 Dozers.
Each unit specialized for mining, heavy-duty and large-scale civil works, featuring powerful engines, sigmadozer blades, and unparalleled operator comfort and safety in the segment.
The 50-tonne machines have been sold to the contractor to create construction access from Highway 55 to Area 4 and Zone E site preparation works.
The deal is the latest in a well-established relationship which has seen Abdul Latif Jameel Machinery provide a range of Komatsu Machines, Bulldozers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Dump Trucks and Motor Graders.
Mr. Hassan Al Qubayshi, owner and General Manager, Al Asast Al Watanya Co., said: “These machines are state-of-the-art, reliable, and powerful, and along with Abdul Latif Jameel Machinery’s best-in-class service experience, we are ensuring we can deliver our commitments to preparing the ground for the new future of NEOM.

With the first phase of the development expected to be complete by 2025, NEOM will be a destination and a home for people who dream big and want to be part of building a new model for exceptional livability, creating thriving businesses, and reinventing environmental conservation.
NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations.
As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders and companies will come to research, incubate and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.
