Mr. Akram brings nearly two decades of experience in finance leadership, audit, and advisory. He drives financial strategy aligned with business growth and long-term value creation, while leading profitability enhancement initiatives and strengthening financial governance. He is on the board of Abdul Latif Jameel Summit Company, a joint venture company offering construction, mining, and power solutions to industry.


Shoaib Akram joined Abdul Latif Jameel in 2014 as Finance Manager and has contributed significantly to the transformation and growth of the organization. He has led initiatives to enhance financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic expansion, including the successful implementation of new financial systems to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making capabilities. His journey within ALJ reflects a consistent track record of aligning finance with evolving business priorities.


Prior to joining the company, Shoaib worked successfully across Saudi Arabia and Pakistan with leading global professional services firms, including PwC and Deloitte KSA where he developed deep expertise in audit, IFRS reporting, taxation, and regulatory advisory. He led complex engagements and built a strong foundation in financial management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, enabling him to effectively bridge technical finance with strategic business priorities.


Mr. Akram graduated from University of Karachi, Pakistan with a Degree in Commerce, has completed CIMA (UK)  and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant member with Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He speaks English and Urdu.
